  • Oh beloved Girl Scout cookies.  So delicious!….BUT, so BAAADDD!!

    http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/features/surviving-girl-scout-cookie-season

On an impulse buy I ended up buying 4 boxes from a girl at work and 2 boxes from a girl from church (what can i say, I’m a sucker…)

I have a box of thin mints, thanks-a-lots (these are SO good by the way), half a box of lemon chalets, half a box of sugar free chocolate chip…who wants these and doesn’t care about the calorie content?

  • I love stupid, useless, creative thinking crap.

    For example…

So green!  You write your notes and make beautiful art!

Dude, wouldn’t this be SOOO useful to have at a party? I always wolf down my appetizers because i have nowhere to put them… or, i could be really hungry.

    TO DO tattoos!!

    This is just too funny!

    OH man…Wedding dress!! Mu mu??

I think i would be hungry all day…I think some of my autistic kids would try to literally eat it.

    SOOO useless, but SO fun!

oh man, that was fun.  Why has american idol been so disappointing??

  • SEATTLE!!!

I had a very FAST and BUSY weekend, but was it oh so enjoyable

I basically left for Seattle right after work and came home Sunday night.  Unfortunately, my flight was delayed and I got home 2 hours longer than I had anticipated.

I had a FANTASTIC time with the Kangs and they were the best hosts! I’m started having withdrawals the moment I left…=(

    Look at at these cuties!!

This is little one is one of the smartest almost 5 years old EVER.  Her and Vickie just finished singing a song and after they were done, Amanda says, “Should we sing a doxology next?”

    uh…what’s a doxology???

WAHH!! I’m so sad I missed out on hanging out with you guys the last day!!

uh…is anyone as lost as i am watching LOST???

  • It was my grandma’s 76th and grandpa’s 82nd birthday party thing tonight and it was a bigger party than what I had expected.  Actually, it even turned into a big talent show.  I swear every single person in that room got up and sang some sort of hymn or recited some Bible verse.  My uncle even sang the national anthem.

My grandma was so cute. She said, “I don’t have a lot to offer, but what I do is pray.  I get up at 5 am everyday and pray for every family, friend and church member…”

    That’s some discipline and love.

I tried to compile a 25 random facts list for FB and I failed.  I don’t think I’m that interesting or random.  haha…

    Have a great week folks!

  • A first for everything…

I did it…I caved and got another Disneyland pass.  So, who’s in for a little Disney outing?

Well, I went today after work to pick up my pass and I decided to stroll over to California Adventure and ride my favorite ride, Tower of Terror.  I didn’t mind that I was by myself for the majority of the time, EXCEPT when I was waiting in line.  I suddenly felt SUPER self conscious and felt that everyone was staring at me or pointing fingers.  SO when, the ride attendant asked how many were in my party, I couldn’t even say one and ended up just holding my finger up instead.

AND, when i was riding the ride, I still got really scared and started whimpering and the lady next to me asked if it was my first time riding the ride.  I think I’ve been on the ride at least a dozen times.  oops!

    I went home after that…haha

  • It was my dad’s birthday today and he’s been asking for us to make him Frutti di Mare for months, so we decided that today of all days should be the day we do it.  I found the EASIEST recipe for the Bucca imitation of it and it’s pretty good!

    Frutti di Mare recipe

To make it A LOT cheaper…Go to the Korean market to buy all the seafood.  A bag of precooked and frozen mussels (around 4 bucks) and a bag of frozen clams (around 2 bucks) and HUGE calamari rings (around 4 bucks) and shrimp (4 bucks).  So cheap!  The most expensive part of the recipe is the stinking clam sauce.  Each little 8 oz. can is like 4 bucks! and you need TWO!

Father loved it.  He was speaking on the phone during dinner and told his friend how we made him dinner for his birthday and he followed that by saying that we were worth raising for this.  haha, my father the comedian.

He really enjoys non Korean food.  He says that Korean food is boring and it’s the same old thing.  I WHOLEHEARTEDLY disagree.  Nothing is better and hits the spot than a good soup and kimchi.  I wish I could cook the stuff, but alas…there is no recipe book for that sort of goodness.

On another note, on the last Vegas trip, I spotted two celebrities at the Palazzo playing blackjack!

    Robert Buckley (Yowzah!) and…

    Joanna Garcia (Privileged and Reba).
They were both canoodling together.  How cute.

  • My dad asked me today,

“What does hold down the fork mean?”

The funny/sad thing is…I knew he meant hold down the fort, but I only had an inkling of what it meant.

Reminds me of the one time we were required to simulate a life of one with schizophrenia and a mock psychologist/tester asked me what it meant when a someone says, Don’t throw rocks in a glass house.

I didn’t know what that meant as well.

Anywhoo…my parents celebrated their 27th anniversary today and I mooched off this celebration and got a free meal from them.  Man, 27 years is a long time and I can tell that they are very much still in love with each other.  bleh.  just kidding!  I only hope that I am blessed with the same.  Happy anniversary mom and dad!

Man…working life is rough.  Work politics, people pleasing, forced to have a backbone and argue your case, having to be articulate, having to deal with behaviors of kids, deal with parents, teachers, AND having to do therapy on top of that!….It’s not fun.  what happened to just working with kids?  I have to say that this job is making me get out of my comfort zone and forces me to get over my fears and anxieties and i fervently pray before each hard day to help me and get through the day without an incident.

Five months and no major mishaps yet…aside from one of my 100 pound kids that wouldn’t get off the floor.
