Okay, so I really want to get a Disneyland pass, especially since I live so close and especially since costco is selling a deluxe ticket right now for $269, but you get free $50 Disneyland gift certificate.

Oh man…Thanksgiving….it was one eventful week let me tell yah. i procrastinated so much that i’m now writing a report i was supposed to get done for work by tomorrow right now at like 1 am.  dang it….

We had a fancy schmancy photographer come out for the girl’s turkeybowl and he got some really nice shots, but also some AWESOME action shots of my sister and I.

All in all,  I loved my team and they were the BAST! and i had a BLAST!

I think Thanksgiving is one my favorite eating holidays.  Although…Christmas is pretty close up there, especially because of the peppermint bark.

What a scary looking animal.  I wouldn’t want to run into one of those in the park.  I’m already afraid of geese in the park.  I have this fear that one day when i’m walking through the park that a flock of geese will come attack me with their strong bills and gorge my eyes out and eat my flesh.  I also fear this with pigeons.  Morbid, i know…

but…they taste so good…

So…girls from Open Door and The Vine joined forces to play turkeybowl this year.

It’s just a weird concept to me that girls who are normally so dainty and cute and feminine can turn into monstrous beasts that cause physical harm.  It’s just not my natural instinct to be aggressive and inflict harm on others, so i feel SOO bad when i do it.  I don’t mean to cause pain…but i think it’s because our guy coaches are always yelling at us to be aggressive and knock people down and throw them around.  I pretty much do whatever people tell me to do and when people are yelling at me, i listen even more. 

For instance, Coach Noolee yelled “Take a knee!” before the last play of one of our games and I understood that as taking a knee for a huddle, so i took a knee in the middle of the field, but no one else on my team did.  I look around me and see a teammate laughing her head off and that’s when i realized that wasn’t what he meant.  dang it…

All in all, I had a lot of fun and had such a great time fellowshipping with girls from not only my church but the girls from Open Door.  I always say every year that I’m getting old and should stop doing church sports, but i have such a great time playing in a team and cheering each other on.  Plus, we get more of a cheering section when we play turkeybowl.  We did a lot better than ANYONE had anticipated and everyone gave a really good effort.  man…i’ll probably just end up playing again next year, despite how much pain I’m in right now.

Man…I got my car keyed like none other.  I THINK it might have been when I parked a little too close to some huge gas guzzling car.  But…I don’t know.  It’s crazy how getting keyed can make you think of crazy thoughts.  Like, if it wasn’t the people with their huge car taking up more than one parking space, it could have been a crazy cat or maybe someone with something against me, or maybe a neighbor because my mom sings her choir songs at the top of her lungs while playing the piano at 11 pm.  Whatever the case, I got some crazy key designs on the top of my trunk and side of my car.  sigh…

Man…I know they didn’t have a lot of space to get in and I have a pretty junky car, but come on…defacing someone’s property because you’re angry?  Just sucks.

COUSIN ANDY got married!  I’m so happy for him and I know he’s not going to change or anything, but strangely I really miss him.

I love family.  I appreciate my childhood and being able to grow up at church with my cousins and uncles and aunts and grandparents.  I go the chance to be taught by and hang out with those that are the closest to me.  What a blessing.  The connections and memories that we have are pretty sweetness.  So are our laughing sessions.  My family rocks!

 AND!!! dear MIA and KEVIN got married!  I’ve known Mia pretty much my whole life and Kevin for the latter half of my life and i still can’t believe they’re married!  Congrats and have fun in ITALY!

My dad attended a wedding recently and he loves weddings ever since he attended his friend’s kid’s wedding where they had an open bar and dancing.  But i guess at this wedding the DJ only played rap music and he didn’t like that AT ALL and was very disappointed he couldn’t partake in the dancing festivities…This is very FORTUNATE for the bride and groom actually because all his dance moves are learned from the movie “Saturday Night Fever.”   

So I asked him what kind of music does he enjoy dancing to and he replied, “Oh, you know Saturday Night Fever and YMCA…”   

So, what’s the best cable company out there?  We want at least 3 receivers and one hd dvr receiver out of the 3 and don’t care for the movie channels.  Is direct tv really the best out there?  That’s according to my friend, but I think it’s because he gets a $50 referral bonus if we sign up.

How much do you guys pay?

One of the kids i worked with sharded (sp?) in his pants and said “POOP!”

We ran to the bathroom and after a while he said, “DONE!” and turned around and bent over. 

oh, the joys of pediatrics.

So, I got up this morning and pretty much looked how i felt. 

I had taken a shower and slept which never looks good for the morning because i get massive bed hair.

Anyways…I got up and patted it down with some whatever and thought, “eh, it’ll be alright.”  I thought that and ignored my haggard look until one of the moms at my work said…”Janet, it looks like you just got up.”

Dang it…

Also…

I was working with a kid and a VERY pregnant therapist walked by and he said, “WHY IS YOUR STOMACH SO BIG?”

She responded, “because i have a baby growing inside my belly.”

He thought about it for a second and then he turned to me and said, “Do you have a baby growing inside your tummy?”

Today is not a good day…
