WAHH!!  I cried after this book ended. now i hope the movie is just as good…

So, i have to put steroids into my eyes now because my cornea is swollen and rejecting my contacts.  booo…

I hope my eyes don’t become super powered and beefen up like those baseball players’ arms. 

My dad always snoops around in my room and like rummages around at anything lying around in my room.  I always yell at him and ask him what he’s looking for exactly and he always responds with…”why you give me a suspicious look?”

hmm…

Now he found my guitar/ukeleli like instrument i got on missions in china and tuned it and is now serenading everyone in my house……

I think i turned 10 shades darker during softball practice today.

Eye update:  I saw a regular physician.  Having HMO, i have
to be referred to an opthamologist by my regular doctor first.  He
says it might be an infection so he gave me antibiotic drops.  I
THINK they are working.  We’ll have to see.  I hate wearing
my glasses in this hot weather.  With my non existent bridge on my
nose and the sweat, my glasses slide down so that the top of my glasses
cover my eyes so you can’t even see them anyway. 

Dr. said if it doesn’t get better in 5 days, to call and make an
appointment with an opthamologist OR optometrist.  uhh…… I
think i’m going to try out the drops and do my time and see how it goes
and make appointments with BOTH. 

what’s the verdict on Lasik these days?

If you think you’re going blind in one eye….Okay, maybe a bit
dramatic, but you think your vision is rapidly decreasing in one eye,
meaning, nothing was blurry the previous week, but is blurry now (with
and without contacts)…

Do you see an optometrist or an Opthamologist?


HELP!

i have a few minutes to kill before work…

I honestly believe that Disneyland puts like happiness pheromones in
the air or something.  I was pretty tired that day, but right when
i got there, i had this new found energy.  It was amazing. 

Fireworks were amazing as usual, only they had to stop the show midway
before the big finale because of high winds…boo…i guess they aren’t
as magical as i thought.
 

So…there is this thing in california adventure where you take
pictures and then answer some questions and it matches you with a
character…

Sweet, beautiful Christina….little did we know she would get…

GO SANG!  a few of us went to go see Sang’s hockey game. it was
F-U-N! and his team won!  I was sad i didn’t see much fighting
going on…but oh well. Next time.

I got FAN of the GAME!  woo hoo! don’t mess.  I have the puck!

Julie got a little jealous and tried to fight me…No contest!

it’s been stinking busy for me the past month and a half and it’s finally quieting down. phew!

Bachelorette weekend!
i finally saw…

it is a secret dream of mine to be a broadway singer. Nevermind being a famous american idol, i’ll be elphaba any day.

we stayed at a REALLY nice hotel. I didn’t know what to do with myself. I just wanted to hide in the room the whole time because i didn’t know how much tip to pay or if i was dressed well enough to be walking around the hotel…and we got like a 75% discount on the room because Joyce (Nelly’s sister knew someone).

I don’t have any pictures of the girls because i didn’t take any.

we also ate at

Le Petit Four on Sunset. Food was excellent and we all chose dishes with a lot of garlic and this restaurant is also featured in Entourage.

and of course the wedding…

i don’t know what the heck the photographer told us to do here…i think we’re supposed to look all longingly at them or something…

and got to have breakfast and spend a saturday with awesome friends!

And…again, congrats to Yukio and Christina!

Phew…i am looking forward to reading and resting and learning and being still.

I can’t believe my dear friend Nelly is married. TOO surreal…She was such a beautiful bride and i keep blankly staring into nothingness thinking about how she’s actually married and i can’t believe it….

I didn’t cry (well…i teared a bit in the ceremony and during my speech) like i thought i would because i was so happy for her. I was happy because she was so happy…

I thought my feet were going to explode on stage because they hurt so bad in our matching shoes.

Look how beautiful she is…Janitor lady was cleaning the bathroom while we were changing in the VERY nice Crystal Cathedral bathroom, and while nelly was getting into her dress she just sat on one of the chairs like she was one of the girls and like hung out with us. It was weird, but totally not a big deal and she was a sweet woman. but looking back at the situation, it was a bit odd because we were complete strangers to each other…

wahh!! she’s all grown up…Congrats you two and have fun in Jamaica!

“So Today, I had the opportunity to hang out in BEAUTIFUL arcadia! 
We bbq’ed at yukio’s house, he’s such a great cook! Christina must be
SUCH a lucky girl to have a boyfriend that can cook like that.  He
cooked some HUGE steaks and then made this salsa to go along with
it.  And to top it all off he made a Tira Misu cake as dessert! it
was so YUMMY!!!

This weekend was INCREDIBLY busy, but filled with great learning,
teaching, worship, encouragement, time with great brothers and sisters,
entertainment, fun, and FOOD.  I couldn’t ask for better. 
God is good!

SOFTBALL

I guess i really like this sport because i feel like i’m living and breathing it constantly…

I was so sad that our weeks of practice culminated in only ONE day of games…but…TOURNAMENT PART II!  yessssss!

I even enjoy playing to the point of driving 40 minutes to the other
side of CA (Los Angeles) to play with Connie’s co-workers in their
Monday night league (9 pm game) regardless of the fact that I have to
be in Corona by 7:30 am the next morning. 

I love that there is always a drive to want to improve and get better
and that no one is ever perfect and you always try to push
yourself.  Kind of like running the Christian race….

I really enjoyed playing with all my fellow Vine bretheren and really
appreciated all the support and love and coaching.  I also love
how sports just brings people close together and the sense of
commaderie.  Maybe i’m just a sappy idealistic fool…i
dunno.  in any case….GOOD JOB!  and it was also great
seeing some old faces again…

I think i know exactly how fast i can get to ANY LA destination without traffic….
Westside–40 min.
Arcadia–35 min.
Corona (not technically LA)–30 min.
UCLA–45 min.
USC health science campus–40 min.
K-town–about 35 min. 

Hillsongs wednesday!  WOO HOO!

My internship is going EXCELLENTLY and i get excited for OT b/c my
clinical instructors and other staff are so nice and helpful and
friendly!

I have no traffic going there or coming back.  praise God!

my dad sent me an email forward warning not to get too close to
porcupines and included pictures of a dog that got too close.  I
won’t show them b/c they look pretty painful and i don’t want to offend
dog lovers.

FOOD!

I went to Sidestreet Cafe in Newport Beach with Unars and i got the
Chili cheese omlette and una got stuffed french toast.  this decor
is very Texan and there are various family portraits all over the
walls.  una got some sweet pictures of some of the slogans on the
walls…

YUM!

I also tried Cafe Panini for the first time with my date with sister
(it’s a new thing we’re trying out).  I had the chicken panini
(YUM!) and sister had the salmon salad (yummy too, although the salmon
tasted a little beef jerky like)

Bridal shower!
Joyce, nelly’s sister had a ton of hook ups so we got table linens and
serving platters and serving dishes all for free so the bridal shower
looked extra nice! Plus, another bridesmaid is a florist, so she had
nice vases and arrangement skills to make it look extra nice as
well.  I will showcase all the food we had! 

all the hard working bridesmaids.  i swear, i don’t think i lugged around so many boxes and serving stuff, etc. in my life:
