  • I was at turkey bowl practice on Sunday and a girl that i met for the first time looked directly at my legs and exclaimed…”DANG GIRL! what sport did you play?”

I think i’m wearing pants from now on….

hahaha! i didn’t mean for this to be taken as a mean comment.  I just thought it was humorous…

  • I am now a disneyland pass holder!  who wants to go???  but not on the weekends and holidays because i bought the cheapest package….

  • i don’t get it. how do you lose to an unranked team when you started off as #1?

I love watching the sport, but man…it would be nice to be rooting for a team that won all the time, but then again, what fun is that?

  • This post is extremely over due, but I really enjoyed Portland!

Thanks Viv for being the best hostess EVER and treating me to the BEST meal of my life and i’m SO sad i didn’t take any pictures…
I don’t have great pictures because my camera was acting dumb and corrupts all my memory cards….boo

The coffee in portland is DELISH.  According to Viv, people in portland are a bit snobbish about their coffees.

We went strawberry and tomato picking at a farm in Portland and then enjoyed some YUMMY corn afterwards.  Look at my loot!

Portland is beautiful and very lush and green and there is this one area where you can drive from one waterfall to another and take a hike to one if you want…It was awesome and i felt like Paul bunyun or is it paul revere?  i dunno…one of those rugged men.

    Can’t wait to visit again!!

I am stressing….Funny because i have to lead stress management groups at my internship…almost done.

  • Anyone know how i can get songs off my mac formatted ipod to my PC that is run on Vista?

    I’d appreciate any advice!

oh yeah…I miss my mac terribly. and the whole, “once you go mac, you can’t go back” thing is SO true.

Everytime i mention the word “apple” or “mac” my dad shakes his head and says, “i never like apple from the beginning….”

  • My sister cooked this HUGE meal today for my mom’s 51st birthday using Giada recipes and Nigela recipes.  It was awesome.  She cooked Salmon wrapped in this fluffy pastry thing with pesto and tomatoes.  She made this eggplant dish wrapped around a feta cheese/almond/pistachio mixture topped with a chunky tomato sauce.  YUM.  she also made stuffed mushrooms that were overcooked and too salty, but still edible.  And i made a cloud chocolate cake thingie from one of Nigela’s books and it takes FOREVER for egg whites to “keep its shape but not too firm.”

    My dad really enjoys shallots….

Dad:  Oooo! Shallots!  Shallot Church! (Meaning Charlotte Church)

    SIGH…week 5 out of 16….

(I’m copying Debbie, but I don’t care because I LOVE UNA!!)

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

10 reason why Unar is FANTASTIC:

    10. She has an amazing attention to detail.  She can pinpoint any grammatical error, catch anyone’s verbal foibles/fobbles (sp?), ESPECIALLY mine, and I imagine that she’s really good at picking at things really neatly and precisely. OH! and her xangas are full of detail and very precise.

    9.  Her penmanship is VERY neat and very consistent.  Her messy writing=her perfect writing only a little slanted.

    8.  She makes fantastic Bundt cakes.  Actually, she bakes well period. I think it’s her again, attention to details and being able to follow directions REALLY well.

    7.  She is willing to try any restaurant or new type of food.  LOVE it!

    6.  Best traveling buddy and like me is always stuck as tour guide because again, love the attention to detail

    5.  Makes awesome sounds when she’s driving and when people get in her way.

    4.  She is ALWAYS on time and if she’s going to be late she always has a great reason and will call you.

    3.  Thus, it’s obvious that she would be on time because she’s so stanking DEPENDABLE.

    2.  She’s willing to put up with all my shenannigans …and ALWAYS laughs and ALWAYS makes me feel like the funniest person in the world.

    1.  SHE’s MY FRIEND and that makes her fantastic enough!

I love you Unar! Happy 25th!!

  • dad: Scotland King==>King of Scotland

  • Parentals are watching 300 and i’m avoiding watching it with them because of the millions of questions they are going to ask me…

Costa Rica was FANTASTIC.  I had a JUANderful time and got to FINISH HARRY POTTER (I cried so much….wahh!) and relax before i hit the books and my new internship.  phew…this year is wizzing by.

The people and land is so beautiful and i had the best traveling buddies as well.

    the girlies

Our first night at San Jose, Costa Rica, called the Trapp family hotel.  hehehe…

Our 2nd day and 2nd hotel in Quepos (Manuel Antonio)…Hotel California.  You needed 4 wheel drive to drive up to the hotel.  Check out the view!

Manuel Antonio is known for having one of the most beautiful beaches…these pictures do not do it justice

Check out the animals and flora:

Iguana that tried to steal our food…

We also got crazy and did some extreme sport like excursions…

Day one: Ziplining through the rainforest

We also got to seem so fantastic views of the sunset….

This one was the view from where we were eating

Day 2: White (brown) water rafting…I don’t have any other pictures because my friend has the cd we paid for

Dinner that night: ($3 for each of those plates!)

$2 for this typical Costa Rican dish (rice, beans, meat)

Day 3: Waterfall repelling along with a bonus random nature/plant tour on our drive up to the waterfall because our tour guide fell in love with one of my friends and kept calling her his girlfriend and hugging her.

    Plants:

    Rattlesnake flower

Red thing: where you get palm oil, yellow stuff: what they make chanel #5 out of, Big giant leaf: where you get henna paint (you scrunch it up and out comes red stuff), and smaller green leaf: stuff they make bengay/icy hot out of

The waterfall behind us is what we repelled off of.

    Our tour guides

Last day on our way back to the airport, we stopped at this one bridge where crocs lined the river and were just chilling and sunbathing…He’s smiling!

    Fantastic!
