  • FOOD! FUN! FRIENDS! SHENANEGANS! did i spell that right UNA??

Mike and Anne’s in South Pasadena (thanks for the rec Becky!).  GREAT BRUNCH!…but alas, no pics because i forgot and we just took side profile coffee shots! GREAT COFFEE by the way! (4.5 out of 5)

GETTY VILLA! So fancy shmancy, but fun and FREE!  and the architecture tour…LONG.

wow. you really can’t even see our faces.  that’s water behind us.

Then we at…REEL INN in Pacific Palisades.  I’ll have to give it 3 out of 5 stars.  it was a bit overpriced.  I think i enjoyed their shrimp quesadilla the best!

    Tilapia cajun style

Shrimp tacos (this was yummy too)

Good place just to try once.  I wouldn’t mind going back again, but i wouldn’t seek it out.
(check out my review on YELP!)

Then, to FILLING STATION! in Orange, CA (4 out of 5 stars)

    coffee…SO GOOD. thus, coffee shots:

Eggs Benedict: Hollindase sauce was so so…it reminded me of velveta cheese

Banana pancakes….SO good!  good amount of crispyness and softness and sweetness

Banana Waffles. Good, not great, but i enjoyed this as well.

My sister got a Eggs florentine where it was like an eggs benedict but had spinach and bacon.  It was pretty good!

AUNTIE EMS! MY FAVORITE! in Eagle Rock (5 out of 5)
I always get specials because I’m never disappointed!

This was the beef brisket sandwich.  doesn’t look too appetizing, but it was very tasty and i got it with a side of grilled asparagus, which was great as well

Kaitlyn’s chicken sandwich…very large and in charge.  but she liked it!

Vickie’s mac and cheese.  SO good!  this was a special too. Very light, yet crispy.

Tina’s avacado, cheese sandwich.  I think she liked it?

They also have a fantastic bakery and GREAT coffee as well!

They have the best red velvet cupcakes hands down!

and a pretty good coconut cupcake (and usually i’m not a huge fan of coconut)

Went with some old roomies to GOAT in west LA.  (on La brea).  (5 out of 5)
I am never disappointed by this place (been there twice).  The service is awesome and the waitress recognized me and remembers my sister’s name.

I admit it, i’m a foodie.  If you have any great suggestions or want to try something you’ve heard of, let me know!  let’s go!

count down…three more weeks to go!!  I gotta get crackalackin!
