  • I think I needed a day of driving over 140 miles in one day and realizing how hard I was gripping my steering wheel to make me stop and reflect on my “eventful” day yesterday…

Me, Vickie, and Connie got into a hydroplaning accident yesterday on the way to Christina’s bridal shower and by the GRACE of GOD, we went spiraling from the 210 fwy left fast lane all the way to the right shoulder facing traffic without hitting any other cars, only suffering a flat tire, no car body damage, no physical bodily harm, and being next to an overpass to protect us from the rain while we waiting for CHP and the tow truck.  God showed his amazing and grace and protection to us and we cannot be more thankful and grateful for it.  Kathy and Gil also happened to pass us on the fwy and ended up finding and helping Marcus and Vickie change her tire when the tow truck failed to find them and show up.

And, we made it in time to put on Christina’s bridal shower and have awesome fellowship.

God is so good…I don’t think I can emphasize it enough.

For some reason, I don’t know what He has in store for me, he always shows his divine power and intervention in my life.  I know He continuously protects me for a reason and I feel a conviction to really heed His direction and allow His desires be my desires…

    On a humorous note…
I definitely see my innate personality through this experience because as we were spiraling around, i didn’t have a moment where my life flashed before my eyes and instead, i remember thinking…”it’s okay, we’re okay, we’re not going to hit anything, this happens all the time….Oh wait…there’s the embankment on the right shoulder….OH NO! Vickie’s car! it can’t be ruined! she has to work tomorrow!!”

  • yes thank goodness.  haha i like your thought at the end.

  • crazy. did i ever tell you about the time i did a 180 on the road down from mt. high? i got high beamed by some jerk and i didn’t see the curb coming so my car was already half on the dirt road. i started the turn and ended up going backwards on the other lane. luckily we didn’t hit anything. we must have slid close to half a football fields length. and thank you Lord for making me play gran turismo on my brothers ps2 (he had the wheel and all). cause if it wasn’t for that game i seriously would have run into the cliff/wall. we were heading toward the mountain on the passengers side and instinct, sorry i correct myself, TRAINING kicked in and steered away from the mountain. so take that mom and dad! video games are good for you. saved my life.
