  • You know when it’s bad when your internship supervisor tells you…”yeah, we’re trying to figure you out.  Do you even like this job??”

It’s hard when they provide more constructive feedback than positive feedback.  But i was very candid regarding my strengths and weaknesses with my supervisors and they were very encouraging and understanding.  BUT, I’m really scared of my upcoming midterm evaluation…

My mind is in 50 million places and i feel like I can’t give 100% to anything.  Thank God school is over at least and i’m taking a break from work.  Every week i’ve had to tell myself, “just this week…next week i’ll do better.”

anyways…on a lighter note…has anyone read David Sedaris’s book, “Me talk pretty one day”?  Oh man…i only read one chapter, “Big Boy” and i think i died laughing.

  • boy do i feel you on the less than 100% thing…my best answer for that is to get away from everything for 3 weeks (which im doing) and then cut out some things out of my schedule (which im doing also)

and to relax and rewatch some of the greatest tv show of all time…that might cure some things! if not, it will at least give you some ideas of what you can and should do around the office…

  • hi janet! that’s weird that a sup would say that to you…I always thought you would always at least appear to like anything!

I’ve read that book…it’s funny huh? but totally flaming…

  • i love david sedaris!! have you read naked? not have you read without any clothes on.. but have you read sedaris’ book Naked? it’s fantastic.
    hang in there janet!

  • Hehe that was a fun book!

  • I had a CI say that to me. She’s like, “I think you’re just doing your time here. I don’t want to be here.” She was right.

  • For me, it’s hard to give a 100% to anything unless I absolutely love it or believe in it…I can’t wait till school is over too! I read that book too! I forgot what it was about, but I remember I really enjoyed it!

  • love that david sedaris.  the plague of tics in Naked is my favorite.  it’s about his ocd tics.  i think i’ll read it to your sister.  see you tonight!?
