My sister cooked this HUGE meal today for my mom’s 51st birthday using Giada recipes and Nigela recipes. It was awesome. She cooked Salmon wrapped in this fluffy pastry thing with pesto and tomatoes. She made this eggplant dish wrapped around a feta cheese/almond/pistachio mixture topped with a chunky tomato sauce. YUM. she also made stuffed mushrooms that were overcooked and too salty, but still edible. And i made a cloud chocolate cake thingie from one of Nigela’s books and it takes FOREVER for egg whites to “keep its shape but not too firm.”
My dad really enjoys shallots….
Dad: Oooo! Shallots! Shallot Church! (Meaning Charlotte Church)
SIGH…week 5 out of 16….
